We’re the calm in your postpartum chaos —

with a burp cloth and a plan.

The Fairy Godmothers is a team of certified Perinatal Support Workers serving families across London, Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. We believe postpartum support should be gentle, inclusive, and actually helpful - not just checking in and calling it a day. Whether you're single, partnered, same-sex, or somewhere in between - we show up with compassion, snacks, and a plan.

We provide overnight newborn care for families who are juggling a lot - careers, healing, older kids, pets, partners (or all of the above). If you're low on sleep and high on overwhelm, were here to take the night shift and give you a chance to breathe - and shower.

Our Values

Non-judgemental Support

Whether you’re breast/chestfeeding, formula-feeding, combo feeding, or just trying to survive - we’re here for your goals not anyone's opinions.

Inclusive Care for all Families

LGBTQ+, solo parents, surrogacy, adoption, multiples — all families deserves postpartum support. We're proudly affirming and experienced in diverse family needs.

What Makes Us Different?

We're not nannies or babysitters. We're certified postpartum professionals trained in overnight care, gentle sleep support for new parents, and perinatal mental health, among many other topics. We know the science and the soul of early parenting - and we support both.

3am Isn't Magical - But That's When The Magic Happens

Real-life magic looks like feeding support, gentle sleep nurturing, and someone who gets it.

Angelina Kiwanuka-Quinlan (she/her)

Perinatal Support Worker | Shift Fairy Godmother

I didn’t come to this work because I had it all figured out.

I came to it because I didn’t.

When my daughter was born in 2000, breastfeeding was tough — even with tons of support. The sleep deprivation hit harder than I expected. And postpartum mood disorders (PPMDs) made it all feel heavier than I could admit at the time.

I started learning everything I could — partly to survive, and partly because I knew other people were drowning too. I trained (and later certified) as an Antepartum, Labour, Stillbirthday, and Postpartum Doula, a Childbirth Educator, and eventually as a Perinatal Support Worker. Since 2001, I’ve worked with 100+ families and over 200 babies.

I show up for families who are open, exhausted, ambitious, and unsure. Who are parenting without a map, and trying not to lose themselves in the process.

These days, I work exclusively overnight — supporting family adjustment, nurturing sleep habits, and gently guiding babies toward sleeping through the night. And if you need a calm presence at 3am while you breathe, eat, or fall apart a little — I’m your person.

When I’m not working, I’m usually curled up with a good book, a jigsaw puzzle, or my family.

"We looked forward to 10pm when Angelina arrived."

As first-time parents, we were overwhelmed. Angelina immediately put us at ease with her positive and encouraging nature. She helped us feel confident, gave great advice on breastfeeding and sleep, and provided a calm, trusted presence each night. We truly couldn't have done it without her."

"We feel really lucky to have had her."

"Angelina was truly a godsend. She radiates warmth and competence, and I was instantly at ease leaving our daughter in her exceptionally capable hands. Our daughter became a great sleeper early on, and that's largely thanks to Angelina. Her support meant everything in those first months."
