"Because if one more person says you just sleep when the baby sleeps" or "it'll just come naturally" we might scream too.
Whether you're a planner, a panicker, or just deeply tired- we've got answers. Below, you'll find the most common questions about overnight newborn care, gentle sleep support, and postpartum help in the London, Ontario area and the GTA.
Frequently asked questions
What do you do?
We provide gentle, overnight newborn care so you can get real rest. Our certified Perinatal Support Workers (PNSWs) handle feeds, burping, diaper changes, and soothing — baby care, start to finish.
Will I actually get to sleep?
Yes — and you deserve it. Unless you r equest to be woken for feeds, we handle the night shift so you can rest without worry.
Do you support breast/chestfeeding? What if I’m formula feeding?
We support all feeding choices with zero judgment — breast, bottle, chest, combo, pumping — whatever your plan, we’re here to help.
Is your care LGBTQ+ inclusive?
Absolutely. We proudly serve all family structures with gender-inclusive, affirming care. Love is love, and we support it all.
Is this like hiring a nanny?
Not quite. Think of us as your postpartum night ops team. We’re not long-term childcare. We’re short-term, high-impact overnight help when you need it most.
Where do you provide care?
We currently serve two primary areas:
– London, Ontario and surrounding communities
–The Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
If you’re unsure whether you fall within our service zone, just reach out — we’ll let you know what’s possible. (Tip: include your major intersection!)
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier, the better! Many families book in their second or third trimester. We do take last-minute bookings if space allows.
What do I need to provide for you?
A safe sleep space for baby, clean feeding supplies (if needed), and a place for us to rest — a couch or bed. 12 hours is a long time to sit in a chair!
Can you help if I’m struggling emotionally?
Yes. We’re trained to spot signs of postpartum mood disorders and provide calm, compassionate support. We’ll always check in on you, not just the baby.
Are your team members trained?
Yes. Our Fairy Godmothers are certified PNSWs with infant CPR/first aid and police background checks. We also do ongoing training in infant mental health and inclusive care
What do your services cost?
We charge a flat hourly rate, based on location and number of babies. You’re welcome to request a custom quote — just let us know what you’re looking for.
Do you work with twins or multiples?
Yes — and we love them. We’re trained in safe sleep and feeding for multiples and can support you in finding a rhythm that works
